Fasting & Prayer Initiative, Week 9

“Surely you know. Surely you have heard. The LORD is the God who lives forever, who created all the world. He does not become tired or need to rest. No  onecan understand how great his wisdom is. He gives strength to those who are tired and more power to those who are weak.”—Isaiah 40:28-29

Blessings on this Sunday afternoon!

As we continue to intercede for our great nation as a decisive election approaches and for the Lord to release The Third Great Awakening, our hope, our strength is the Lord Himself. I encourage you to use the above passage as the foundation for your prayer and fasting this week. When you struggle or you are stuck, remember this word and you will find renewed passion to seek the Lord.
September is now fully with us this Labor Day Weekend. September 26th fast approaches. I suggest that this week we pray that the Lord anoints and empowers The Return, a call for national repentance and a return to the Lord in Washington DC.

Advent Church is opening their sanctuary to this important event. Please pray that the Lord favors this event with great audio and visual impact both locally and nationally. Please pray against the spirit of the air who would love to interfere with this solemn assembly.

Please ask the Lord to begin to open the hearts of His people for personal revival that must precede a national awakening!

What follows are some passages to assist you in your prayer. Of course, don’t be limited to what I am offering you as a starting point, just wait on the Lord.

  • “Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away. 20 Then times of refreshment will come from the presence of the Lord, and he will again send you Jesus, your appointed Messiah.”—Acts 3:19-20a (NLT2)
  • “On the last and most important day of the feast Jesus stood up and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. 38 If anyone believes in me, rivers of living water will flow out from that person’s heart, as the Scripture says.“  Jesus was talking about the Holy Spirit. The Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet been raised to glory. But later, those who believed in Jesus would receive the Spirit.”—John 7:37-39 (NCV)
  • “It will come about after this that I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; and  your sons and daughters will prophesy, Your old men will dream dreams, Your young men will see visions. Even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth, blood, fire and columns of smoke. The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and awesome day of the LORD comes.”—Joel 2:28-31 (NASB)
  • “When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue is parched with thirst, I the LORD will answer them; I the God of Israel will not forsake them.  I will open rivers on the bare heights, and fountains in the midst of the valleys. I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.”—Isaiah 41:17-18 (ESV)

The Lord bless your prayer with week with a special anointing!
