Darlene Khoury is joining Advent Episcopal Church as Music Leader. She is called to fulfill the vision of planning, organizing, and leading Advent’s music programs to enrich the spiritual worship experience of members and visitors. Through music she will create an uplifting, respectful and memorable time of celebration, capturing the hearts and spirits of those in attendance.
Advent seeks to creatively blend liturgy and contemporary praise. Darlene has a track record of having built church music programs elsewhere, with a diverse style from classic to gospel. She has coordinated youth ministries, led a master concert series throughout Italy, and is gifted in fine and performing arts. She currently serves full-time as campus minister, music teacher, theology teacher and director of religious education at Our Lady of the Elms School, PreK-12, in Akron.
